What are the characteristics of screen printing and flat printing in sticker label printing?
1. Screen printing
Screen printing, in this type of printing form, the printing is flat, and the printing is carried out under the rotation of the impression cylinder. In the printing and pressing process, the movement direction of the printing plate and roller is the same, and the transfer printing ink accompanying the roller of the printing cylinder is transferred to the substrate through the mesh on the printing plate. The printing plate and the squeegee are different according to the shape of the substrate. The moving direction of the printing plate and the plaque is the same. The rubber squeegee is fixed. This process can be used to print canned plates and balls, in other words, this is also a type of curved printing form.
2. Lithography
Lithography is a type of offset printing. Offset printing is a widely used form of printing today. It is the most ideal method to promote half-color black image reproduction. In offset printing, the locality of graphics and text and the non-graphics department are on the same three-dimensional. An essential feature of offset printing is that the locality of graphics and text can consciously absorb the printing ink, not the locality of graphics and text. The key to this trick is to use the natural characteristics of metal materials. The images copied by lithography have the advantages of rich mediality, clear layers, fine dots, coordinated tones, and real naturalness.
Defects: The process technology is relatively complex, the technical operation difficulty coefficient is large, and the technical specifications and requirements of the operating staff are high. For example: production technicians must deal with the differences between printing plates, paper, printing inks and their printing environment. If they are not careful, it is likely to cause waste of raw materials.
